Albert Lee, 37, of Bridgeport, was arrested March 1 following an investigation by the Statewide Urban Violence Cooperative Crime Control Task Force, the state Narcotics Task Force, and the Bridgeport Police, said Connecticut State Police Sgt. Eric Haglund.
During the search, officers uncovered a Bushmaster AR-15, a .223-caliber semi-automatic assault rifle, three 9mm semi-automatic handguns, over 300 rounds of ammunition, high-capacity magazines, among other items, Haglund said.
Three of the items were determined to be stolen, and Lee admitted to owning the other firearms, he added.
Lee was charged with numerous weapons and theft charges and is being held on $100,000 bond.
